“Dear Mandy and Paul, Many thanks for a wonderful stay at your beautiful place and for a nice tour at Kangaroo Island. The trip back to Adelaide went very well thanks to your kind support. We had great times also at Flinders Ranges and are now back in Switzerland and the cold and rainy days. Best regards also to Jim” From Birgitta and Göran

“Kangaroo Island was absolutely wonderful. The tours and the bed and breakfast were amazing. the host and hostess of the bed and breakfast and the owners of the wilderness tour groups were just magnificent! The B&B was just 1st class, what a gourmet cook with outstanding service!. Kangaroo Island was everything you said and more.” From Lester Schindel

“We had a fabulous time staying with Mandy and Paul at their B&B. Their company was enjoyed and we shall miss the warm evenings spent around the table talking of all sorts of things while consuming some of the best of the local wines and Mandy’s excellent cooking. Please give our best to them.

Your island is an unreal experience. It is a beautiful place that we hope we will be able to return to yet again. But I must say that the highlight of our time on KI was the time we spent with Bill. Our two days touring with him were full of excitement and adventure. He knows the island well and was able to help us see all that we wanted and then some. A very personable guy and one with whom you can spend 9-10 hours in close quarters on first contact and feel totally relaxed and engaged. Most of all Bill just made us smile.

The second day he organized a lunch that we will not forget. First off, Bill doesn’t have the “look” of someone who is overly romantic or flowery, but he put together a wine tasting on the bluffs over looking some of the most incredible surf, while he wandered off and set up a picnic lunch, of the first order, in the dunes a couple of hundred yards away. Just fantastic! A first rate fellow and if I were running a similar company, I would definitely hold onto such an employee as I doubt you would find better.

In all three weeks+ in Australia and we can both say that KI, Mandy, Paul and particularly Bill were the highlights of our trip. Well done and thanks again.” From John A Tidwell, Washington USA

“Your job was excellent. You were so professional and helpful providing all necessary infos, and even more. I said to Mandy you were great. Our vacation at Kangaroo Island was simply a memorable one. The tour with Bill was outstanding. He was so nice and he brought us everywhere in the island ! we watched much more than expected in such a relaxing atmosphere. Please say hello to him from our side. Our stay at Seascape was so pleasant and relaxing, and Mandy is a fantastic cooker ! in a few words…we spent two unforgettable days and we would have liked to spend more if we only had time ! I will write a personal message to Mandy, but in the meantime please give our regards to her and Paul. Many thanks and kind regards.” From Chiara and Alberto

“We had the best time! We loved the two day tour !!!!!

I would have a hard time choosing what was my favourite part. I loved the Koala Walk, the fur seals, the sand dunes, and THE PELICANS. Feeding the kangaroos was a riot! And I’d never seen an all white peacock before!

Spectacular! Mandy and Paul were the best hosts! We loved their home and Mandy’s cooking. Everything was just perfect, better than I hoped it would be. I have been telling everyone I know about Kangaroo Island and will point them your way if they go visit.

Please tell everyone hello and thanks so much!!!!”
All the best, Shantel (Oprah show producer)

ps—I thought the reservation process –everything was super simple. loved it. thanks so much, I will never forget Kangaroo Island!!

We had a wonderful time touring and staying on the island. Our driver “Chris” is very laid back and made the day very relaxed as well as being informative. The stay at Seascape was everything we expected and more. I have promised Mandy that I will put something on the trip advisor website;so hope to do that ASAP. The two exceptional things at Seascape for me were the meals and the immaculately clean suites and house. Mandy and Paul obviously put a lot of attention and thought into their work and it shows.

We are used to a high standard of food and we were not disappointed in the least. Mandy’s passion for cooking shines. The food was very tasty and beautifully prepared. The variety was a very pleasant surprise as sometimes the question at breakfast is, “Which was do you want your eggs prepared today?” It was a pleasant surprise to have something different offered for breakfast each morning.

While we are not great fans of communal dining because we are both rather shy (Hard to believe I know but nevertheless we do make an effort to be convivial), we did find the experience to be pleasant as the other couple combined with Mandy and Paul’s easy and relaxed manner helped to relieve our anxiety.

Don’t let people say there is nothing to see or do on KI, we spent 7 days of bliss and with places like Seascape and Sky House you can have the best of everything without the need to be bilingual, have a passport or spend an enormous amount of money reaching your destination from Adelaide. KI offers a snapshot of the best of Australia with its wildlife, scenery, wineries and produce for everybody from the budget to the discerning traveller in accommodation that can easily meet the needs of the ‘time poor’.

“Add this to your bucket list”.” From “S&M from Adelaide” South Australia

We visited KI at the end of our three week trip in Australia. To be honest we already had experienced such wonderful things seen and done in Sydney, the Red Centre, the Ghan, Flinders Ranges, the Barrossa and around Adelaide that KI felt like a nice simple ending of our trip when we flew into Kingscote from Adelaide.

These last two days of our vacation at KI and being pampered by Jim, Peter, Paul & Mandy and the great lunches prepared by Jane was the greatest farewell gift before we left Australia. Browsing through the bushes with Peter discovering that orchid that only flowers for two weeks and that rare cockatoo (already forgotten the name of both.. Sorry Peter! :-), trying to find Miss Piggy (according to Jim) in the Remarkable rocks, the young male seal approaching us coming ashore as far as “kissing” our shoes and the tour at Peter’s farm just before he dropped us off at the airport were just a few of the wonderful highlights. In short: Thank you all!

Any feedback? I don’t think so … We enjoyed every bit of it and of course we were lucky that we had a private tour for both the days. And of course we’ll spread the word.“ Warms regards, Edgar and Arthur from the Netherlands

We loved our trip to Kangaroo Island. It was one of our favourite stops during our month in Australia. I loved the accommodations at Seascape Lodge. Mandy and Paul are wonderful hosts. The room was lovely with such a fabulous view of Emu Bay. The meals were exceptional. Mandy is (as you all must know) a talented cook. We enjoyed our conversations with both Mandy and Paul and loved the family atmosphere. The first night we enjoyed a couple from the Netherlands (Dennis and Josie). Such interesting people. This is always the plus to travel. To meet people from around the globe. Lovely encounters.

Our guide, Jim, was very kind and knowledgeable of the island, the plant life and the animals. It was a pleasure touring with him. His sense of humour over our “forcing” him to listen to us sing Australian folk songs was fun. I think he kind of found it amusing especially when “Drinking with Duncan” gave another older woman touring the island a great big smile for the day! I was surprised and thrilled to have Jim cook us two wonderful lunches. The food was well planned and delicious. Thank you to the cooks back at your main office. The salads and baked goods were scrumptious.

I think I could have stayed on Kangaroo Island much longer than our two days, but the last leg of our trip were calling us to Sydney.

Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will be singing the praises of the island to any who are interested or listening. It is a great place to visit and, after meeting you all, I can tell it is a wonderful place to live.” Sincerely, Helen – Canada
